It has been one amazing crazy and still slightly confusing month since I have set my beautiful and big Canadian feet (you know what big feet means??..haha) on German soil.
So much has happened and it only feels like I have been here for a few days. Now I know what people mean when they say that time flies. But hopefully time doesn't fly too fast, because this month has been one of the best of my life. I really feel at home here and to tell you the truth I have not had one homesickness thought or feeling since I landed, which sounds heartless cause I'm sure my mother misses me, I mean I am one hilarious and gorgeous mofo.
But I think one of the things I most love about Germany is the scenery. The houses and gardens and parks and just the everyday things of a German lifestyle which people don't usually take into consideration. I mean everything looks like a fairytale town. In Canada and most of North America most small towns are ugly. And for some odd reason all of our buildings are stuck in the disco age. It's like architects went extinct after 1979.
Let me put it this way, on a scale of 1 to Fairytale village, Erding would be right out of a Disney movie and my home town would be one of those towns where the movie Deliverance takes place, dirty and nothin but pick up trucks.
Here are some pictures if you don't believe me :)
Besides the amazing scenery of my own town, my wonderful family has taken me on quite a few adventures over the past month. Almost every weekend we have done something and gone somewhere which makes my stay here even more enjoyable :)
So far I have been to a castle, a festival, a fair and even the famous Oktoberfest! All an experience within itself which you can read if you click the links.
Anyways what better way to sum up an experience than through VISUALS! Most of this pics are from my trip to the Obersee with my host family.
(where da pics at?!)
